STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

As a woman born and raised in Russia, I connect with the importance of feminism. From the treatment of women to how they are seen, I am motivated to create art that pushes the female experience and celebrates individuality.

My work is an attempt to find moments of stillness amidst constant change.  I find myself switching from an internal world of thought and imagination to an external world of physical occurrences. These constant transformations blur together, until both internal and external perceptions lose any semblance of solid truth.

I enjoy to guide the viewer through ambitious experiences by touching on such serious topics as life-death relationships and yet my works still can be read as small anecdotes. This is the way for me to be in balance with juxtaposition of life.
